Magical Evening!!!

Tinsel Tennis Competition

The festivities kicked off with an exhilarating Tinsel Tennis competition, expertly organized by the amazing Ali and skillfully assisted by Dave Molloy. Their seamless coordination ensured a smooth and incredibly fun event for everyone involved.
The Tinsel Tennis matches were nothing short of spirited, with members showcasing their skills and good spirits. Amidst the friendly competition, we took delightful breaks to savor the delectable spread of food that everyone generously contributed. The shared laughter and camaraderie added an extra layer of joy to the occasion
As the competition reached its climax, we crowned our victorious duo, Ciara Whelan and Giuliano, who demonstrated outstanding prowess on the court
A round of applause also goes to our deserving runners-up, Geraldine and Christophe, who showcased remarkable sportsmanship throughout.

Olive McCann Award

Continuing the magic of our Tinsel Party, we presented our prestigious Olive McCann Award. This award holds special significance as it pays tribute to Olive, a dearly missed member who left an indelible mark on our hearts a few years ago. In recognition of her iconic contributions to the club, our esteemed Betty initiated this award to honor an individual who consistently goes above and beyond for our community

We received an inspiring number of nominations, totaling 10 outstanding individuals who have truly stood out

Mike Walter – for encouraging new members, for promoting men tennis at all levels, for organising great club nights and mostly for being the club paddy power

Tunna Cassidy – for her dedication and well running of Social Tennis

Pat Flanagan – for his years of service to the club, his friendship and great sense of humour

Mario Olaru – for his tireless work maintaining and enhancing the club

Charlotte Molloy – for her commitment to our junior members over the years

Hanna McMahon – for her exceptional dedication and commitment to the club, for her tireless efforts in organising events, for her ‘never say no’ attitude, for her thankless task of Club Secretary and for her positive attitude and enthusiasm

Darren McCommiskey – for his dedication to the club for more than 10 years, for his patience, time and dedication with children

Emma Clarke – for running junior social for nearly 3 years, for her tireless work and time dedicated to juniors over the years

Mary Ryan – for her hard work in the finance and administration of the club, someone also said she’s the Queen and fellow trooper

Outstanding Leinster Club Volunteer

We proudly presented the Outstanding Leinster Club Volunteer Award. It is with great honor that I extend my congratulations to Pat O’Hare for being the recipient of this esteemed award.
Pat’s tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to our club have not gone unnoticed. This recognition is a testament to the significant role he has played in the growth and success of RTC. Pat stands as a true pillar of support, and this award is a well-deserved tribute to his exceptional efforts.
Congratulations, Pat! Your passion and hard work are the driving forces behind the flourishing spirit of our club. Thank you for your invaluable contributions, and here’s to many more moments of shared success and camaraderie!

Christmas Raffle

The evening culminated with the Raffle featuring several prizes, with the centerpiece being a festive Christmas hamper. The anticipation was palpable as Sara and Emily pulled the winning numbers, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities

The success of the evening wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging the delightful food contributions that enhanced our celebration. The fragrant aroma of the mulled wine (non alcoholic) added a cozy touch to the atmosphere.

In closing, We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible individuals who made this evening a resounding success. Ali, Paula, and Giedre, your dedication and effort in organizing such a wonderful event did not go unnoticed. Dave Molloy, your assistance with the competition added an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.

A special acknowledgment is reserved for Hanna, whose seamless coordination ensured the event ran like clockwork. To everyone who contributed the delicious food, your culinary delights added a delightful touch to our celebration. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the helping hands that worked diligently to set up and clean up the clubhouse before and after the event.

And, of course, the biggest thank you goes to each member who attended. Your presence and enthusiasm were the key ingredients that transformed this evening into a memorable and joyous celebration. Without each and every one of you, this success wouldn’t have been possible.
