Thanks to everyone who came along for a great night at Novellos recently to celebrate the end of our club championships. A great night was had by all. We had some fun chat, music and laughter together.

Olive McCann Award

This year the Olive McCann award for inspirational person in the Club was awarded to Betty Pennington.

Everyone knows the huge amount of work, love and dedication Betty puts into the club. We’d be lost without here. She was a clear winner this year. Well done and thanks for everything.

Thanks to Christophe for all the photos and fun.

Special thanks to Stephen Foley and Graham Barry for all their work on the championship committee. They did all the hard work getting the matches scheduled and running the tournament so smoothly. It takes a lot of hard work for a tournament to run smoothly. When everything is great you know someone is working really hard to keep it that way. Thanks guys from all the committee.

Thanks to everyone for all the help to make the tournament so much fun. Thanks to everyone who baked, cooked, made sandwiches, teas, coffees and everything during the week and on the day.

I hope I’ve got everybody – this was a really great effort by a lot of people so if I forgot anyone Sorry and a Big Thank You.

Well done all.

Cheers

Damian Scattergood

Chairman on behalf of all the committee and the club.
